Lantern Theater Company Honored With Twelve 2010 Barrymore Award Nominations Recognition for The Breath of Life, Henry IV, Part I, and Happy Days
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE August 2, 2010 Lantern Theater Company was recognized today with twelve nominations for the 2010 Barrymore Awards for Excellence in Theatre. Three of the Lantern's 2009/10 season productions received recognition in the following categories: The Breath of Life
The Lantern also shared a nomination with the Da Vinci Art Alliance for the 2010 Ted and Stevie Wolf Award for New Approaches to Collaborations for Envisioning Henry IV, Part I. Curated by Dr. Debra Miller and presented in the Lantern Lab in April 2010, this awards exhibition featured artwork inspired by Shakespeare and the Lantern's production of Henry IV, Part I. Since the inception of the Barrymore Awards for Excellence in Theatre in 1995, the Lantern has received 71 nominations and 13 awards, including the 2009 Barrymore Award for Excellence in Theatre Education and Community Service.
